Our workplace is fun, loud (or quiet depending on the day) and productive. We’re as passionate about content as we are about helping our clients and our people grow. So what’s it like to work here?
Well, we don’t have a strict dress code or a clock-watching approach to the hours you work. We get it, sometimes you need time off or need to change your hours because of other stuff that’s happening in your life (yes, we expect you to have a life outside of work!). As long as the work gets done, that’s what matters. We have regular trivia nights, Friday lunch dates, fresh fruit, a fancy coffee machine (which is a large part of the induction process) and opportunities for work travel.
For us, our culture is about enjoying the company of people you spend a large amount of time with every day, respecting each other’s skills and trusting each other to deliver their work on time. It’s about working as part of a team, relying on people to pick up on areas that may not be your strength and vice versa.
But you also need to be ready to be pushed to achieve more than you ever have before. Whether you stick around for one year or ten, we want the mark you make on Monkey Media, and vice versa, to always be a career highlight. It can be demanding, and it’s not for everyone, but if you’re ready to take it to the next level and do the best work of your career then this could be what you’re looking for.
But just because we all work hard doesn’t mean we don’t have fun while doing it. Tradeshow Carpool Karaoke anyone? No?… yeah me neither.
Who we are always looking for
Our Marketing team acts as both an internal marketing department and a full service marketing agency for our clients. You will be a person of many hats as your regular activities will include copywriting, creating EDM campaigns, managing social media pages, running Google Adwords campaigns and overall management of our clients’ accounts. Mandatory for this role is the right attitude, ability to laugh at yourself and a certain marketing charisma.
As part of our editorial team, you will write for both our magazines and content for our clients. Through the quality content you write, you will essentially be at the core of what Monkey Media does – quality content for niche audiences. You need to be flexible in what you can write about and fast to get your head around technical detail. Ask yourself, can you write an article about pumps that would make your average grown man cry?
Our design team are nothing short of magicians! Taking some text and a couple of low res images from a document, you can make three full page ads, two web banners and a corporate brochure. Your day to day tasks will never be exactly the same and could have you changing between working on websites, laying out our print magazines, developing online documents or creating a re-branding for one of our clients. Exceptional technical know-how and an eye for design are vital plus a funky style is always appreciated!
We aren’t selling ice to eskimos here – our services genuinely help the businesses we partner with. Expert sales experience isn’t necessary just the ability pick up the phone, form relationships and find the right solutions to clients’ problems.
